Hartholt,
Principal and Grade 8 Home Room
Walt Hartholt is Principal of BCS
and has grade 8 as home room. He is in charge of
curriculum. Mr. Hartholt's expertise is in the area of Math, French, History and
Physical Education. It is not uncommon to find him playing in the gym
with his students during recesses! His teaching degree is from Redeemer University
and he came to the school in 1991.

Roth,
Vice-Principal and French teacher in grade 7
Francine Roth is
Vice-Principal part time and is teaching grade 7 this year.
Francine joins the Admin team this year. She has been a supply
teacher for several years along with spending time at home with her
three boys.

Heather
Murray, Vice-Principal and Lang. Arts Grade 7 & 8
Heather Murray has been
with BCS since 1991, teaching in grades 7 & 8 . She has her teaching
degree from Redeemer University. Her area of expertise is language arts.
She is also teaches grammar in Grade 5\6 and is Vice - Principal part
time.

Evelyn
Van Schepen, Secretary
Evelyn has been our Administrative
Assistant since 1990. She received her business training in high school,
and also by taking various computer courses throughout the years. Before
she came to BCS, she was a secretary at a local bank.

Gloria
Groeliker, Financial Assistant
Gloria has been our Financial
Assistant since 1996. She has an honours B.A. of Administration from Brock
University. Gloria worked as a junior chartered accountant for four years
and then for the Town of Pelham.

Barbara Foster,
Junior and Senior Kindergarten
Barbara Foster is our junior and senior
kindergarten teacher. She has established a strong kindergarten program
and the children love being in her class. She has several years of
experience in the primary grades, as well as in resource teaching. Her
teaching degree is from York University.

Elaine
Westerveld-Zwep, Grade 1
Elaine Westerveld-Zwep is our grade one
teacher. She has many years of experience in the grade one area.
She introduced the four block method of teaching reading and writing to
our school. She has her Ontario Teacher's Certificate, and has acquired
many courses in the area of primary education. Mrs. Zwep’s experience in
grade one is an invaluable asset to our school.

Adriana Woudstra,
Grade 2 Home Room
Adriana Woudstra is our grade two teacher. She has her teaching degree from
Redeemer University College. She has several years of experience teaching a
preschool program and kindergarten. She is a natural story teller and loves
doing crafts.

Leanna Silver, Grade
3 Home Room
Leanna Silver teaches grade four in the
mornings. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and
Sociology from Redeemer University College. She has skills in
constructive classroom management as well as in assessing individual
student needs. She is delighted to be back after her maternity

Jannette Mazereeuw Grade
4 Home Room. Mrs. Mazereeuw is not new
to our community because she is a parent and has served on the Education
Committee. She has also been our supply teacher for several years. Mrs. Mazereeuw
has received her teacher training at the Christian University of the Netherlands
and University of Western Ontario in London.

Barbara Vandersar
Grades 5/6 Home Room. Barbara has been on staff since 2005.
She is a graduate of Redeemer University-College with a degree in
Education. She enjoys teaching the Creation Studies program in
grades five and six. She also teaches Spelling in Grades seven and
eight.

Teacher Carly Dreise teaches the grades
three through eight music. Carly has a passion for music and a
love for her students. She is a graduate of Redeemer

Jeff Summerhays comes to us from Imlay City where
he taught for five years. He is a Dordt College graduate with a Phys Ed major.
He loves to run and coach sports teams. He is our grade 7 home room teacher

Kamphuis, Resource Teacher
Karen Kamphuis is our Learning
Resource teacher. She has her BA from Calvin College, and her Teacher's
Certificate from the University of Toronto. She has many years of
experience in the area of resource. She has also developed experience in
the area of teaching ESL students.

Heather Van Hoffen is our art teacher. She has her
teaching degree from Calvin College. She has taught for several years in other
Christian schools and loves to inspire students to praise God with their
creativity.

Routledge, Custodian
Dave has been our custodian
since 1990. He operates his own business Proper Maintenance Services.
His business is mainly window washing, along with a cleaning contract
with BCS. |
